Hexalobular head bolts from ITA Fasteners are used in situations where high torque is experienced by the fasteners repeatedly. The shape of the hexalobular bolt makes it highly difficult for normal drivers to be used on it. And since special tools are required to be used on these screws, the hexalobular screws are on par with security screws. But they do not provide large variations in terms of the drive shape and head grooves present in the bolts. The hexalobular bolts come with a key grip for perfect fastening and unfastening.
Due to their security screw type nature, these screws are used in the construction of lockers, ATM machines, and other secure doors and locks. The disadvantage of the unique geometry of the head is that these screws have a comparatively low load-carrying capacity, making it unsuitable for heavyweight applications.
