External Tab Washers

Description:

Like any other washer, external tab washers prevent the movement of components in an assembly from rotating in reaction to a shaft. Just like its internal tab counterpart, these washers come in a wide range of dimensions, starting from an outer diameter of 2 mm all the way up to an outer diameter of 152 mm. This also makes it suitable for the screws to be used in conjunction with several other components. These washers are a type of lock washers and do an excellent job of distributing the load evenly on the bearing surface.

To properly use these tab washers, you will have to bend the ear to lock the nut in place. Since they are a type of lock washers, you can rest assured that your equipment can resist any long duration vibration and small movements and not loosen in the process. This is the fundamental purpose of such tab washers. It is also available in stainless steel, carbon steel, and alloy steel to bear more wear and tear while also making it more corrosion resistant.
