Shims & Support Rings

Description:

Shims are precision and pre-cut materials to reduce the dimensional inaccuracies of structures. Although they can be made with different materials, we at ITA Fasteners are specialists in designing custom shims and support rings in metal. It can make your structure sturdier and more reliable while seamlessly integrating with the metals. Even though shims and support rings are considered ad hoc supplies designed to hide mistakes, they can also be used on large scale projects to add some additional functionality to the structure. Hence, we suggest that you buy it in large quantities and store it for later.

Like we mentioned earlier, they are mostly used to adjust heights and other clearance issues present overall in whatever you are building. Consider the tolerance required for the shims, especially if you are placing it under the structure to support its weight. If the tolerance is not considered, it could lead to accidents and other mishaps.
