They come in a one-piece body and a screwdriver slot situated at the bottom. This ensures that the surface of operations is not damaged by any pressure. It also increases the ease with which the screws can be replaced. Due to their one-piece structure, they also come in shorter lengths compared to conventional screws.

These screws reduce the effects of vibration in the support structure as well. A polyamide pellet can be used to hold these screws in place. The overall length of the plunger can also be increased by a factor which is a multiple of the depth of the socket.
