Spring Plungers

Spring Plungers

Description:

Ball spring plungers from ITA Fasteners are used for indexing and locking after being mounted onto fastening components. They are mostly used in the construction of custom equipment for specific applications. The spring's pressure is used to hold and lock fasteners in place. The threaded version of these springs come with hexagonal socket screws which allow for customisation. Despite the scope for customisation, spring plungers are mostly used for a push on and push off operations in wood and sheet metal work.

Their application can also be extended to locking and unlocking devices with a built-in switch. They can be easily mounted on holes and used for accurate positioning of components which have to be drilled, reamed, tapped, welded, engraved or have any other machining done on it. It is virtually impossible for these springs to disintegrate from the supporting bore. It comes in the stainless steel, alloy steel and carbon steel materials which makes the plungers corrosion resistant and durable.
