Drywall Screw

Drywall Screws

Description:

Drywall screws are used to fasten sheet metals, composite materials, timber, and plastic. These screws from ITA Fasteners have incredibly high tensile strength and yet have the versatility to be used on multiple materials in multiple angles. The screws can also handle multiple fastening and unfastening throughout their product lifecycle. Their primary application is the fastening of drywall to projections on walls and ceiling joists. Hence, they are mostly used in home improvement and remodelling projects.

They come in two different thread types, fine and coarse. Fine thread types are used for the fastening of drywall to metal objects, and projections whereas coarse thread types are used for wood to drywall fastening. This difference can be attributed to the gripping power of both the thread types on their respective usage surfaces. While removing the fasteners is not recommended, if the need arises for the drywall to be taken apart, ensure that you are using the proper screwdriver to remove it. It is available in stainless steel, carbon steel, and alloy steel to bear more wear and tear while also making it more corrosion resistant.
