Belleville Washers
Belleville washers come under the spring type washers and are used to apply a flexible pre-load to a bolted joint. They can be used individually or in a stack for increased frictional grip. When these washers are used in a stack, they can either be stacked with a similar orientation or stacked orientation depending on the requirements of the applications. The most important advantage of these washers from ITA Fasteners is that they can support huge loads even in a cramped installation space.
Since these washers can be stacked in an unlimited number of ways, they offer extreme versatility and its upto your creative imaginations to decide how to use the washers. This is owed to its structure which consists of a force from its periphery and an opposing force from the conical center. With a suitable arrangement of the washers, dampening effect may also be achieved. It is available in stainless steel, carbon steel, and alloy steel to bear more wear and tear while also making it more corrosion resistant.
